It is my belief that the body is a source for personal transformation. And I am committed to assisting people as they enhance their lives and wellbeing. I approach this from a number of directions namely nutrition and life counseling, massage therapy and yoga. I may appear “a Jill of all trades” but my interest and training in the healing arts have evolved organically over the last 15 years.
I am a certified Holistic Health Counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, in NYC, which is affliliated with Columbia University and accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I've done advanced training and am certified as a Lifestyle Educator through Metagenics' FirstLine Therapy Program.
I am a certified massage therapist since 2002 practicing therapeutic massage in both Florida and Pennsylvannia. In November 2002, I traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand to study the ancient art of Thai massage with Master Therdchai Chumphoopng.
In 2004, I completed certification as a Kripalu Yoga Instructor with Deva Parnell, director of Discovery Yoga School in St. Augustine FL. Following the Kripalu tradition, my focus in yoga is to facilitate an individual's exploration of self. The practice is both comfortable and challenging and aims to harmonize body, mind and spirit as well as to integrate the body/mind experience and enable one to experience themselves as grounded and fully alive.
